Beloved husband of the late Helene Fabian, passed away on August 15, 2025. Bill was the son of the late Jack and Bessie Fabian. He resided in Newington for more than 40 years before moving to Berlin.
Bill leaves his four children, reluctant members of the “clean plate club”; Ronda (Jay) Guberman, David (Wendy), Brad (Nancy), and Amy (Dave) Roy and eight grandchildren Lily, Ricky, Gigi, Tyler, Allie, Zak, Mason and Alyssa (predeceased). He is also survived by his bother Marty Fabian and sister Elaine Acker.
Bill was a survivor of the Hartford Circus Fire and an Army Reserve Veteran who loved to travel, golf, cook, listen to jazz and read.
After retiring from Pratt and Whitney, Bill used his meticulous cleaning skills to start his own house cleaning business which successfully grew through word-of-mouth referrals.
Throughout his life, Bill gave of his time to volunteer as a Boy Scout leader, soccer coach, cook at the Friendship Center homeless shelter, hot dog grill master at the Plainville Senior Center and most recently as Bingo caller and Vice President of the Residence Council at Cedar Mountain Commons where he resided after Helene’s death.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Congregation B'Nai Shalom, in Wethersfield.
