Vera Krevolin

Vera Krevolin, 92, of West Hartford passed away peacefully on April 20, 2014. She was the daughter of Abie and Dorothy (Bromberg) Krevolin. Vera was born on March 17, 1922, was raised in New Haven and resided in Hartford and West Hartford for almost 70 years. She was employed by the State of Connecticut in the Highway Department/Department of Transportation until her retirement in the late 1970s. Thereafter, she could be found golfing at Rockledge Country Club, cross country skiing, watching UCONN women’s basketball or spending time with her family.She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Milton. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Judi Krevolin, her nieces and nephews, Andrew Krevolin and Debra Eyges of West Hartford, Douglas and Carolina Krevolin of Atlanta Georgia, Betsy and Robert Katzman of Woodbridge and Janet Krevolin of Cambridge, Massachusetts, as well as her great nieces and nephews, Katherine Krevolin, Joseph Krevolin, Jonathan Katzman, Rachel Katzman and Michael Krevolin. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 23 at 12:30 p.m. at Weinstein Mortuary. Burial will be at Beth Israel Cemetery, Avon. Shiva will be observed at the home of Andrew Krevolin and Debra Eyges from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Family Services, 333 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06117 or The Gemma Eyges Scholarship Fund at Clark University, 950 Main Street, Worcester, Massachusetts 01610.
