Velma (Johnson) Dubinsky, 78, of Glastonbury, formerly of West Hartford, died Thursday, May 29, 2008. She was the widow of Harvey Dubinsky. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Doris (Wilson) Johnson. Velma was the beloved mother of David I. Dubinsky and his wife Miriam of Fairfield, Daniel S. Dubinsky and his wife Nikki of Laurel, NY, Sara Kartiganer Teart and her husband Antone of Middlefield, and Vida Dubinsky of Bolder, CO; cherished grandmother of Micah and Tovah France, Kaeley and Lainey Dubinsky, Zev and Ty Kartiganer, and Jacob and Abigail Dubinsky; and devoted sister of Sandra Blazensky and her husband Nicholas of Westerly, RI. She also leaves a dearest friend, Lauren Deich. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon.
