Theodore (M.) Nestor

Theodore M. Nestor, 67, of North Granby, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23rd. Born in Hartford, he was the husband of the late Bonnie (Babrow) Nestor and the son of the late Joseph and Leona (Leventhal) Nestor. He graduated from George Washington University and Conard High School. Ted was a Senior Sales Manager at Crump Insurance Services in Farmington. Ted loved the beach, sailing and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox and UConn basketball. He lived life to the fullest, always seizing on any opportunity to laugh and share his exuberant spirit with those around him. He leaves his children, Dana J. Nestor of Hartford, and Jesse A. Nestor of North Granby; his sister, Karen Goodspeed and her husband Dr. Ronald Goodspeed of New London; and his half-brother, Bob Nestor of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM on Tuesday, August 26th in the Chapel of Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Avenue, West Hartford with Rabbi Stanley M. Kessler officiating. Interment will follow in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Jackson Street Extension, Avon. A memorial period will be observed on Wednesday and Thursday, August 27th and 28th from 2:00 - 5:00PM at 155 Kenyon Street, Apartment 3, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or The Fund for UConn Health. The family would like to thank all of Ted’s doctors and nurses, especially the talented and compassionate staff on the Oncology Floor at John Dempsey Hospital.
