Terry (Chaikin) Talan

Terry (Chaikin) Talan of West Hartford, widow of Hyman Talan, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Marigold (Lapidus) Chaikin. She was a former employee of Hartford National Bank and handled the funds for the Bushnell Memorial and had also been a volunteer at Hartford Stage. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, West Hartford. She leaves her son-in-law Jeffrey Bergen of Bloomfield; and two grandsons: Jon R. Bergen of New York, NY, and Peter T. Bergen of Lafayette Hill, PA. She was predeceased by her daughter Holly Bergen; sister Ruth Silverman; and two brothers: Meyer Chaikin and Abe Chaikin. The family would like to thank the staff of Hughes Rehabilitation Southeast wing for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs officiating.
