Sylvia (Heffler) Sodokoff

SODOKOFF, Sylvia (Heffler) Sodokoff, 98, of Chatfield Dr., West Hartford, CT, died Sunday, September 2, 2007. She was the widow of Louis A. Sodokoff. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Dora Heffler. She leaves a son, Howard Sodokoff and his wife Lois of Palm City, FL; a daughter, Nancy Kursman of Avon, CT; a son-in-law, Marvin Lewtan of West Hartford, CT; a sister Madeline Hoefler of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Lewtan, a son-in-law, Barry Kursman, a sister, Ruth Schuster, and a brother Jerome Heffler. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI, NY. A memorial period will be observed Wednesday from 6-8:30 pm at the home of Pamela and Barry Gordon, 48 Berwyn Rd, West Hartford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hebrew Home & Hospital, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford, CT 06117 or to CT VNA Hospice, 111 Founders Plaza, 2nd Floor, East Hartford, CT 06108.
