Sydell Greenfield, 98, passed away April 24, 2006. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lena and Jacob Meadow and grew up with her late brothers Herb and George. She was married to the love of her life, Bernard who predeceased her in 1985. They resided in Brooklyn, NY and for many years in North Miami Beach, FL. She became a resident of West Hartford at Summerwood before moving to the Hebrew Home and Hospital. Sydell is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Diane Greenfield of West Hartford, CT and her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nanny Syd leaves behind many wise lessons on life and wonderful stories and experiences, which will be remembered by all that loved her. Hers was a life lived with zest, a life of affection to her family from the very youngest to the very oldest. A graveside service will be held at Mount Nebo Cemetery in Miami, FL on Thursday, April 27, 2006 with a reception at the home of her grandchildren, Steven and Ellen Greenfield in Boca Raton, FL. A memorial period will be observed April 30, 2006 at the home of Larry and Diane Greenfield, 17 Visgrove Lane, West Hartford.
