Suzanne ((Tellis)) Toyen

Suzanne (Tellis) Toyen, 73, of Newington died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Kaufman) Tellis and sister to the late Jeffrey Tellis. She was the loving and devoted wife to the late Barnet Toyen, and mother of Heidi Stevens, Pamela Toyen, and Steven Toyen, and grandmother to Bryan Stevens and David Stevens. Suzanne worked as a legal secretary for Griffith & Kelly, LLC for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was musically gifted playing the accordion, piano, and any music by ear, and had a large love for birds. The family would like to thank Jefferson House for their thoughtfulness and care. Services will be held at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford at 1pm on Tuesday, April 24th.
