Stella (Korduner) Klein

KLEIN, Stella (Korduner) Stella (Korduner) Klien, 87, of Starkel Road, West Hartford widow of Leon Klein died Saturday,(August 23, 2008). Born in Poland, she was the Holocaust survivor, a member of the Pioneer Womens Organization and the United Synagogue of Greater Hartford. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Scheinblum of Windsor; two sisters, Sylvia Korduner and her husband, Peter of West Hartford, Raye Kramer of West Hartford; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Goldfarb; four grandchildren, Eddie and Carla of Arizona, Marc and Tanya, Scott and Debbie all of Manchester; four great grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler, Liya, Ian. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Shuch; a brother, David Goldfarb and a son-in- law, Paul Scheinblum. Funeral services will be Monday, 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with burial in the First Ludmir Benevolent Association Cemetery, Wethersfield A memorial period will be observed at the home of her daughter 323 Kings Landing, Windsor Monday following the funeral through Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford, PO Box 37055-06137,West Hartford, CT 06227 or a charity of the donor’s choice. She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Stella was a friend to all and enjoyed life to its fullest. She will be sorely missed.
