Stanton (J.) Abel

Stanton J. Abel, 94 years of age, of Newington, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Born in Waterbury, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Gordon) Abel.

He leaves his beloved wife and best friend of over 70 years, Rhoda (Rosenberg) Abel, his son Alan Abel and his wife Pamela of Willimantic, his daughter, Gail Chlastawa and her husband James of Westfield, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren, Stephen Abel and his wife Alison, Samuel Abel, Jake Chlastawa and Sara Chlastawa.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Temple Sinai Memorial Park, 41 West Hartford Road, Newington with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
