Solon Singer

Solon Singer, 82, of Sunbird Place, Boca Raton, FL, formerly of West Hartford, died Monday, December 17, 2007 in Boca Raton. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Harry and Rose (Steinberg) Singer. He leaves his wife, Miriam (Kollman) Singer, two sons Neil R. Singer and his wife Dr. Mary Singer of Goffstown, NH, and Howard Singer and his wife Carrie of Torrington; a daughter Jodi Schwab and her husband Howard of West Hartford; two grandchildren Jessica and Douglas Singer; and a sister Ethel Gilman of Bronx, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his daughter, Jodi, 43 Farmstead La., West Hartford Thursday following the funeral through Sunday.
