Sol Dubins

Sol Dubins, 89 years of age, of Bloomfield, formerly of Bayside, NY and East Meadow, NY, died Sunday, October 23, 2011. He was the husband of Leah (Meisel) Dubinsky of Carmel, CA and the late Ida (Golden) Dubins. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late David and Tillie (Aronowitz) Dubinsky. Sol was a US Army veteran of World War II. Before he retired, he owned and operated Opal Wallcovering in Hartford. He was the beloved father of Enid Zangler of Bloomfield, CT, and Arline Daniels Welch and her husband Barry of Delray Beach, FL; cherished grandfather of, Shara Berkowitz-Valte and her husband Carlo, Brian Berkowitz and his wife Kristen, and Todd Berkowitz and his wife Aylin; and loving great-grandfather of Ean, Gabriel, and Ray Valte. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with interment in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed at his home, 7 Westview Dr, Apt E, Bloomfield, Sunday following the interment.
