Sidney (L.) Rosenblatt

Sidney L. Rosenblatt, 78, of Newington, husband of Margurite (Vermesse) Rosenblatt, died Sunday, (May 28, 2006). Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Rosenblatt. He was a graduate of Weaver High School. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Intelligence Division. He graduated from the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1962 and was a member of the American, Connecticut and Hartford County Bar Associations. He served as the Newington Town Attorney for five years. He was secretary of the Lions Club, a past chancellor of John Hay Lodge 61, and member of the Knights of Pythias. Besides his wife, he leaves two brothers, Everett Rosenblatt and his wife, Lillian, and Donald Rosenblatt and his wife, Phyllis all of Newington. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Hill School for the Blind, or Fidelco. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
