Sidney Lebowitz

Sidney Lebowitz, of Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford died Friday, March 23, 2012. He was the husband of the late Esther (Stein) Lebowitz. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Louis and Sally (Fish) Lebowitz. Sidney was a US Air Force veteran of World War II. He was the owner of Hartford Nutmeg Corporation retiring in 1984. He is survived by four daughters, Janet O’ Connor and her husband Daniel of West Hartford, Andrea Raymond and her husband Carl of Farmington, Donna Glembocki and her husband John of Southwick, MA, and Sheri Bentsen and her husband Todd of Union; his sister, Irma Landerman of West Hartford; nine grandchildren, Michael O’Connor, Deborah O’Connor, Benjamin Persky, Joshua Persky, Naomi Sigell, Brandon Dryburgh, Magan Dryburgh, Carli Dryburgh, and Kim Kurtz; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 11:45 AM at the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. Following the interment the family will receive relatives and friends at the Adult Day Care Center of the Hebrew Home, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford (please use the hospital entrance).
