Sidney (L.) Gordon

Sidney L. Gordon, 84 years of age, of Boca Raton, FL and previously of Bloomfield, CT, passed away on September 22, 2016. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late William and Sophie Gordon. He was a graduate of Weaver High School and the University of Connecticut, and retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft after more than 30 years of service. Sidney was a quiet man, but for those he touched, he imparted family values, integrity and so much kindness. He is lovingly remembered by his children: son, Mark Gordon of Miami, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Leslie Gordon of West Hartford, CT; and daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Paul Ruland of Sugar Hill, GA. He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Colin, Danielle, Evan and Megan. Sidney was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn, to whom he was married and devoted to for over 53 years; his sister Beatrice Kirshnitz and her husband, Paul; and his brother, Joseph R. Gordon and his wife, Beatrice. A private graveside funeral service will be held in the Beth David Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, FL on September 25th. The family has requested that donations in Sidney’s memory be made to a charity of your choice . He will be deeply missed by many.
