Shirley (Goldman) Homar, of Arrowhead Dr., Newington wife of Benjamin Homar died Sunday (August 5, 2007). Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Abraham David Goldman and Fanny (Kaplan) Goldman and was an employee for the State of CT. She was a member of the Congregation B’nai Sholom in Newington, a member of the Sisterhood and was an active volunteer in the Synagogue. She was also a volunteer at the Jefferson House in Newington. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Howard Homar and his wife, Jo Ann of Wethersfield; a daughter, Janis Homar of Farmington; and leaves many supportive family and friends including a special caregiver, Angela Ntow. Funeral services will be, TODAY, 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with burial in Congregation B’nai Sholom Cemetery, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed at her home through Wednesday.
