Selma (Bovitz) Okrant, 81, of Orient Lane, North Haven, formerly of Manchester, widow of Gerald Okrant, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Samuel S. And Yetta (Jacobsen) Bovitz. She leaves her children: three sons: David Okrant and his wife Kim of Boulder Creek, CA, Eli Okrant and his wife Bonnie of Bloomfield, and Marc Okrant of South Windsor; two daughters: Pamela McColl and her husband William of Holliston, MA, and Bonnie Zitomer and her husband David of North Haven; and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment following in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed Sunday following the funeral to 7 PM, at the home of her daughter where she resided, 5 Orient La., North Haven.
