Selma (A. Sherman) Kaplan

Selma A. (Sherman) Kaplan, 86 years of age, of West Hartford, widow of Jack M. Kaplan, died Sunday, October 21, 2012. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Max and Lena Sherman. She was a member of Beth Hillel Synagogue, Bloomfield. She leaves two sons: Alan P. Kaplan and Mark G. Kaplan; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosalyn Darefsky of Bloomfield and Estelle Freed of West Hartford, and a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Seymour and Rhoda Kaplan, Rita Kaplan, and Susan Hutensky. A graveside funeral service will be held TODAY, Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 12:00 Noon in the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby with Rabbi Gary Atkins officiating. A memorial period will be observed immediately following the funeral until 7 PM at 164 Thistle Pond Drive, Bloomfield.
