Saul Korduner

Saul Korduner passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 22nd, with his children by his side. Saul was the son of the late Wolf and Dvora Korduner. He was a Holocaust Survivor and came to the United States in July 1949 with his wife and daughter. He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Toby (Jakubowitz) Korduner. He worked for Waybest Hartford Poultry. He leaves three daughters: Dianne Berry and her husband Stanley, Raye Cohan and her husband Michael, Susan Wasserman and her husband Larry; and his loving grandchildren: Scott Berry and his wife Esta, Corey Berry, Joseph Cohan, Robert Cohan, Richard Cohan, and Toby Wasserman. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters and mother in the Holocaust. The family expresses their appreciation to the Jewish Family Service nurses Shirley Duncan and Barbara Griffith, for their dedication to his care. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 24 at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi David J. Small officiating. Interment will follow in the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, Wethersfield. Shiva will be observed at his home, 77 Northbrook Dr., West Hartford, each day after 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Dr., West Hartford 06117, or to the Agudas Achim Synagogue, 1244 North Main St., West Hartford 06117.
