Saul (A.) Karp

KARP, Saul A. Karp, 78, of West Hartford, CT died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Aaron and Hilda (Platt) Karp. He was a Navy veteran. Saul was district manager of General Cinema before he retired. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Hartford Mutual Society. He leaves his sister, Ruth Sloate of Bloomfield, CT; his brother, Jacob Karp and his wife Shirley of West Hartford, CT; and 22 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Henry Karp, Morris Karp, Louis Karp and George Karp and by a sister, Miriam Berman. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Garden St., Hartford, CT. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his sister, 1 Malone Dr., Bloomfield, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
