Sara (Epstein) Pekar

Beloved mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sara passed away on December 31st, 2022 at the age of 93 in West Hartford, CT. Born in 1929 to Isaac and Esther Epstein in Bobruisk, Belarus. Sara had four sister and two brothers, raised by her step-mother Meira Epstein. Sara married Mikhail Pekar in 1954; their son Igor was born in 1965. They moved to the US in 1997 and resided in West Hartford. Sara was an accomplished accountant and a talented cook. She was lively and full of joy and passion. Sara and her family were members of Beth David Synagogue. She was the last of her siblings and friends to pass on. Sara will be missed dearly.
