Sandra (Berson) Zelman

ZELMAN,Sandra (Berson) Zelman, 61, of Bloomfield, beloved wife of 40 years to Arthur Zelman, passed away Friday, (January 25, 2008) with her family by her side. She was born in New Britain, on December 7, 1946 to Miriam (Krechevsky) Berson and the late Saul Berson and lived in the West Hartford area her whole life. She is predeceased by her brother, Neal Berson and mother-in-law, Lillian Zelman. In addition to her husband and mother, Sandy is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Amy and David Resnic of Sudbury, MA, son, Michael Zelman of West Hartford; cherished grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin Resnic; father-in-law, Harry Zelman of Bloomfield; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Ellen Zelman of Bloomfield; sister and brother-in-law, Loraine (Zelman) and Marty Bernstein of Tamarac, FL; sister-in-law, Michele Berson of Overland Park, KS, and many loving nieces and nephews. Sandy was a graduate of Conard High School in West Hartford and Chamberlain College in Boston. She worked with the Zelman family business, Tru-Balance Shoes, for many years. Most recently, she enjoyed working for Aetna in Hartford. But above all, her joy was spending time with her family and friends, which she treasured with all her life. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 28 at 11 a.m. at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Interment will be at Teferes Israel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. The family will be receiving family and friends at the home of Steven and Ellen Zelman, 4 Cliffmount Dr., Bloomfield, directly following the funeral and continuing through Wednesday evening during the hours of 4 - 9 p.m .
