Sandra (Shevitz) Sobel

Sandy Sobel, 75, of West Hartford CT passed naturally Thursday morning surrounded by friends and family. Sandy is survived by her soulmate, Stan Kerry of West Hartford, her daughter, Wendy Dougan of Davenport, Florida, her son, Darren Sobel and Cheryl MacDonald of Wethersfield, and her three grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel and Emily. Sandy was known for her loving and devoting personality, leaving a beautiful impact on anyone who had the chance to know her. Sandy had many dear friends from high school, Old Colony Beach, and West Hartford. Sandy and Stan started a Bridge club, and she recently received her Life Masters which was a lifetime achievement for her. Sandy devoted her time to spending it with her grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. The bond between Stan, her children, and her grandchildren will never be broken. Sandy’s spark and upbeat personality will live on forever. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Weinstein Mortuary 640 Farmington Avenue Hartford, CT. Reception following Emanuel Synagogue 160 Mohegan Drive West Hartford CT. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
