Samuel Rutenberg

Samuel Rutenberg, 81 years of age, of New York, NY, died Monday, January 5, 2015. Born in Palestine, he was the son of the late Israel and Molly (Smoonski) Rutenberg. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Sam was a social worker for the State of New York. He leaves his brother, Gideon Rutenberg and his wife Mary of West Hartford, CT; and his sister, Shoshana Benjamin of Ramat Hasharon, Israel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Beth El Temple Cemetery, Jackson St. Ext., Avon, CT with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Shiva will be observed in Israel.
