Ruth (Silverman) Katz

Ruth (Silverman) Katz, 91, of Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield, died Monday, February 8, 2010. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Sarah (Fox) Silverman. She was the widow of Jack L. Katz. She leaves a son, Stephen N. Katz and his wife Marilyn of Plano, TX, three grandchildren: Randy Katz and his wife Belinda, Gary Katz and his wife Shannon, and Ileane Serrano and her husband Robert; seven great grandchildren; and a great great grandson. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Linda Blinderman. A graveside funeral service will be held TODAY, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2010 AT 9:30 AM in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Road, East Granby. A private period of mourning will be observed by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patients Recreation Fund at Federation Homes, 156 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield 06002.
