Rose (Friedman) Furman

FURMAN, Rose (Friedman) Furman, 95, of Seabury Drive, Bloomfield, formerly of Windsor and Avon, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007. She was the widow of Max H. Furman. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Fannie (Raichman) Friedman. She and her husband Max were long time residents of Windsor having resided there until 1963 and then moved to Avon and Bloomfield. She and her husband were founding members of Congregation Beth Ahm of Windsor and was a past president of the Sisterhood of the Synagogue. She was also a life member of Hadassah and a member of B?nai Brith. She leaves two sons, Dr. Robert A. Furman of Winchester, MA, and John B. Furman of Scottsdale, AZ; a daughter, Bonnie S. Mesibov of Syosett, LI, NY; a brother, William Friedman formerly of Tavares, FL; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 10:30 am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
