Rose (Brown) Cohen

Rose (Brown) Cohen 97 years of age of West Hartford, formerly of Hartford, died Monday, April 28, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert Cohen. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Rebecca (Feinberg) Brown. She was formerly a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue. She leaves her daughter, Leslie Rosen and her husband David and grandson Todd of East Windsor, NJ. Also a son Peter Cohen and his wife of Killingworth CT, as well as many loving nieces and nephews and friends which include Barbara and the late Carl Reisner, Heidi and Rick York, Steve and Ruth Brown and Anne Wahl who all contributed to bringing love and joy to her life. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the John Hay Memorial Park, Garden Street, Hartford, CT with Rabbi Phillip Lazowski officiating. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Barbara Reisner, 43 Cliffmount Drive, Bloomfield, CT from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29. After that the family will be mourning at their NJ residence, 29 Einstein Way, East Windsor 08512. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
