Rose (Zebrack) Bernstein

Rose (Zebrack) Bernstein, 96 years of age, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of West Hartford, CT, died Thursday, May 12, 2016. She was the widow of Gerson ‘Gary’ K. Bernstein. Raised in Paterson, NJ, Rose served as a nurse in the US Army during World War II.

She leaves her daughter, Ina Nenninger and her husband Timothy of Vienna, VA; her daughter-in-law, Betsy Bernstein of Harrison, NY; She was predeceased by her son, Julian Y. Bernstein. She also leaves her grandchildren, Geoffrey Nenninger and his wife Alissa and their daughters Sophia and Isabelle, Andrew Nenninger, Michael Bernstein, and David Bernstein and his fiancee Sarah.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Beth El Temple Cemetery, Jackson Street Ext., Avon, CT with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday following the funeral at Marriott Residence Inn in Avon.
