Rosalind Rolly’ Weinberg, 100 years of age, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of West Hartford, CT, died Monday, February 27, 2017. She was the widow of Leo Weinberg. Born in Hartford, CT, November 9, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie (Kone) Gold. Rolly grew up in West Hartford, attending the West Hartford Public Schools and Pratt Institute. She became a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a professional member of the Florida State Board of Architecture and Design. Her many volunteer activities included being past president of the Brandeis National Women’s Committee, serving as a member of he Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters, and former chairman of the Jewish Federation of New London, CT and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was a long time member of Congregation Beth Israel of West Hartford, CT. Rolly is survived by her nephew Joseph Newberg and his wife Alice of Belmont, MA, and four grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Annette Newberg and her niece Maxine Newberg Gordon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:15AM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Affleck St., Hartford, CT. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford, CT.
