Rochelle Katzin Rosenberg died after a courageous battle with cancer at her home in Clearwater, FL on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010. She was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel to Pesah and Batya Katzin on August 3, 1934. She married Dr. Irving Rosenberg of Hartford in 1955 and raised their four children in West Hartford. She graduated from the University of Hartford and taught at Beth El Temple, West Hartford and Midrasha for many years. She also served as President of Beth El Temple and was currently a member of Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater, FL. She served on the Foundation Board of Menorah Manor in St. Petersburg, FL for many years. In addition to her devoted and loving husband, she leaves her daughter, Renee and husband Max Werber of Sharon, MA; her son, Dr. Barry Rosenberg and wife Carol of West Hartford, her daughter Shari and husband Jim Gaudet of Foxboro, MA; and her daughter Abbie and husband Rich Sisitsky of Hopkinton, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Melanie, Arielle and Jamie Rosenberg, Yael, Liat and Talia Werber, Alyssa and Danielle Gaudet, and Zachary and Evan Sisitsky. She also leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Elisha and Marlene Katzin of Israel as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, March 4th, 2010 in the Sanctuary of Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Ave., West Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon. Shiva will be observed, with morning and evening Minyans, at the home of Dr. Barry and Carol Rosenberg, 10 Norwood Rd., West Hartford.
