Rita (Weiner) Winer

Rita (Weiner) Winer, 90, of Mohegan Dr., West Hartford, widow of Frank Winer, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Anna (Singer) Weiner. She was a past member of the Beth David Synagogue and the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford, and a member of Hadassah. She is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Winer of New York City, and Michele Andrews and her husband Marc of Durham; a sister: Sylvia Krainson of Longmeadow, MA; and two grandsons: Jonathan and Eric Andrews. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rabbi David J. Small officiating. Interment will follow in Beth David Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed at her home, 93 Mohegan Dr., West Hartford, Monday following the funeral.
