Rita (Pinkes) Stein

Rita Lillian (Pinkes) Stein, 96 years of age, of West Hartford, died Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was the widow of Louis Stein. Born in Hartford, Rita was the daughter of the late David and Anna (Friedman) Pinkes. She was a founding member of Beth El Temple of West Hartford and was president of the Temple’s Flower Committee for several years. She was a member of Hadassah. She leaves her son, Gary R. Stein and his wife Linda of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Traci Kressly and her husband Richard of Pennsburg, PA , and Chris Guntz and his wife Ann of Downingtown, PA; and her great-grandchildren, Aric and Jake Kressly. She was predeceased by her brother, Abraham ‘Sonny’ Pinkes. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Jackson St. Ext., Avon.
