Olga Bolocofsky, 99, of West Hartford, died Saturday, September 12, 2015, of natural causes. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Yetta Sosin of Bloomfield. She was predeceased by her sister, Norma Miller, and by her husband of 37 years, Samuel Bolocofsky. She was also predeceased by her dear friends, Rose Sadernsky, Minnie Guthart, Stella Turshin, and Estelle Zipkin. She is survived by her sister, Esther Baran, and her brothers, William Sosin and Gershon Sosin. She is also survived by her devoted son, David Bolocofsky and his wife Debra, her loving grandchildren, Vincent, Charly, and Daniel and his wife Elizabeth, and her great-grandchildren, Gwenaveve, Juliet, and Adaline Rose. They will truly miss their Bubbie. She was born on March 24, 1916 and lived in Greater Hartford and in Englewood, Colorado. Olga graduated from Weaver High School and worked as a bookkeeper for many years, but the primary focus of her life was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Road, in East Granby. Following the internment, the family will receive friends at the home of Alan and Fern Rosenberg, and then again on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family would like to express its sincere thanks to the Hebrew Home staff for the outstanding care they provided, especially her aide, Pat, who showed her much kindness and consideration and whom she considered a friend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Olga’s name to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, PO Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515
