Norman Lazerow, age 92, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, in Avon, CT. He was the loving son of Rubin and Mollie (Kaplan) Lazerow. Born and raised in Hartford’s North End, he loved to tell stories about growing up in the “old neighborhood.” Norman was a graduate of Weaver High School, actually graduating a semester early to serve his country in the U.S. Army. He attended Morse College of Business and received a degree in accounting. Upon his return from service he met and married the love of his life, Evelyn (Rothchild). They were inseparable and truly devoted to one another, until her passing in 1995. Norman was a retired owner of Barlow Metal Stamping and Ludbar Realty. He retired at age 85 due to illness. Norman’s life was his family. He leaves a son, Carey Lazerow, and his wife, Christine. Two granddaughters, Alyssa Homstead and Hannah Lazerow and great-grandson, Benjamin Homstead. He also leaves his daughter and caretaker, Pamela Burton, and son-in-law, Robert Steven Burton and his loving grandson, Matthew Burton. A very special thank you goes to Nora and Karina, his caregivers, as well as Radmila. You were our angels and we love you from the bottom of our hearts, and Erin, our ray of sunshine, from McLean’s VNA. Thank you for always making Dad smile.
