Nellie Mackler

Nellie (Rader) Mackler, 99 years of age, of Sayre, PA, formerly of West Hartford, CT, died on February 22, 2014. She was the widow of Harold Mackler. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Yetta (Fleischmann Rader. Nellie was a former member of the Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford, CT. She leaves her daughter, Dr. Karen Mackler of New Rochelle NY; her two sons Dr. Gerald Mackler and his wife Birgitta of Athens, PA, and Dr. Richard J. Mackler of Montreal, Canada; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.In lieu of donations, the family requests that one good deed be done in her honor. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford. She was an exemplary wife, a wonderful mother and friend to all.
