Nathan Isaac Lerman passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on Thursday (December 31, 2009) after a short illness. He was the son of Barnard Lerman and Celia (Wapnitsky) and was born in New York City on April 16, 1911. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Eva (Nichomoff) Lerman. They had three children, Robert Lerman of West Hartford, CT, Suzan Margulis and David Lerman. He was predeceased by three brothers, Irving, Lou and Hyman; and one sister, Pauline. He was a photo engraver for his working career, and was a talented wood worker/carpenter hobbyist. He had ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His greatest joy in his later years was to be surrounded by family and to visit with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be interred at New Montifiore Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY in a private ceremony on Tuesday. Arrangements will be handled by Weinstein Mortuary in Hartford, CT. Calling hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 29 Soby Dr., West Hartford, from 3-8 p.m.
