Muriel D. Rosenthal, 90, beloved wife of the late Arthur Rosenthal, died on Monday, November 17, at the Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford. Muriel leaves two sons and daughters-in-law: Attorney Edward Rosenthal and his wife, Martha, of West Hartford, and Todd Rosenthal and his wife, Betsy, of West Hartford; four grandchildren: Alison Rosenthal of Palo Alto, CA, Daniel Rosenthal of San Francisco, CA, Nathan Rosenthal of Chicago, IL and Molly Rosenthal of West Hartford; two sisters: Shirley Cohn of Warwick, RI and Rosalind Tarlow of Hilton Head, SC, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Geraldine Greenberg of West Hartford and Irene Wolfe of Riverside, CA, and one brother, Kenneth Davidson of New London. Muriel was born in Chicago, IL, grew up in Waterford, CT, and settled in Hartford in 1943 after marrying Arthur. Muriel was a fabulous working mom, raising her two sons in the Holcomb Street home she shared with her family in Hartford?s Blue Hills Avenue neighborhood while working full time as a bookkeeper at Nemrow Brothers in Hartford and maintaining the most beautiful flower garden on the block. The Rosenthal family would like to thank the entire staff of the Hebrew Home and Hospital for the wonderful care they provided over the more than eight years that Muriel lived there. Special thanks go out to Maxine and Keisha for the comfort they provided over the last several months. Funeral services are private. Friends may pay their respects at the home of Edward Rosenthal, 10 Birch Road, West Hartford, on Wednesday, November 19, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
