SCHILLER, Morris A. Schiller, 85, of West Hartford died Friday, January 5, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Lappen) Schiller. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Julius and Fannie (Tarlowski) Schiller. Morris was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. After the war he founded Park Plumbing Supply in Hartford which he owned and operated until he sold the business in 1988. He continued to work for Park Plumbing Supply until 1990, when he founded a new business, Allied Plumbing Supply also in Hartford, which he owned and operated until he retired in 2005. He was a member of the American Supply Association, the Jewish War Veterans, and Beth El Temple of West Hartford. He leaves a daughter, Joan S. Schiller of Brooklyn, NY; two sons, Harvey E. Schiller with his wife Ellen of Newington, and Bruce N. Schiller of New York, NY; three grandchildren, Bryan Clurman, Andrew Schiller and Paul Schiller; and a brother David Schiller of Forest Hills, NY. He was predeceased by two brothers, Abraham and Harry Schiller and by two sisters, Mary Hirsch and Yetta Yablow. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon. A memorial period will be observed Sunday following the funeral through Tuesday evening at the home of his son Harvey E. Schiller, 84 Settlers Knoll, Newington. Memorial contributions may be made to Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Ave., West Hartford 06117.
