Morris Kassman

KASSMAN, Morris Kassman, 77 years of age, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Willimantic, he was the son of the late Max and Annie (Strauss) Kassman. Morris lived his entire life in Columbia and was a machine operator in the construction industry. He was a member of the United Brethren of Hebron Synagogue and Columbia Senior Organization. He was the beloved brother of Samuel Kassman of Columbia; brother-in-law of Shirley Kassman of Columbia; loving uncle of Robin Jacobson and her husband Mark of New York, NY, Lori Heon and her husband Ray of Lebanon, Edward H. Kassman and his wife Leslie of Columbia, S. Steven Kassman and his wife Cheryl of Manchester, and Abby G. Kassman-Harned and her husband Court Harned of Ellington; and he leaves many grand nieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Barney Kassman. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM in United Brethren of Hebron Synagogue, 10 Church St. (Junction of Rt 85 & 66), Hebron with interment in United Brethren of Hebron Cemetery, Mansfield.
