Mollie (R. Manekofsky) Sherman

Mollie R. (Manekofsky) Sherman, 88, of West Hartford, formerly of Wethersfield, died Saturday, (May 17, 2008). She was the wife of the late David Sherman. Born in Boston, MA., she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Bessie (Kaufman) Manekofsky. She was an Executive Administrative Assistant for many years at Veeder-Root. She was a life member of Hadassah. She leaves two daughters, Barbara Wein and her husband Howard of Newington, and Ellie Rosenbaum and her husband Sheldon of Rocky Hill; her grandchildren, Cindy Rosenbaum and her husband Matt Wisnioski, Evan Wein and Neil Rosenbaum; a sister, Esther Garber of Toledo, OH, a brother Sidney Manekofsky of Alexandria, VA, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Sam and Manny Manekofsky and her sister Irene Kronick. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. today at the Agudath Israel Cemetery, Baker St. West Roxsbury, MA. A memorial period will be observed from 7 p.m. today, thru Wednesday, May 21 at the home of Barbara and Howard Wein, 5 Chaplin St., Newington, CT.
