Mollie (Kupersmith) Ettinger

Mollie K. Ettinger, beloved wife for 52 years of James E. Ettinger of West Hartford, passed away peacefully at the Hebrew Home, West Hartford on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 after a courageous fight with cancer. Mrs. Ettinger is survived by her daughter, Jodi Levy and husband Charles of Paramus, NJ; her sons: Dr. Jeffrey Ettinger and wife Angela of San Jose, CA, and Robert Ettinger of West Hartford; and four grandchildren: Alana, Brian, Matthew and Samantha. She also leaves her best friend and beloved sister Edie Baskin of Bloomfield, and her sons Scott, Joey and Glen. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Max and Gertrude (Kaufman) Kupersmith. Mollie graduated from Weaver High School. She attended secretarial school and worked for 10 years for the State Labor Dept. and 17 years as a paraprofessional at Weaver High School. Mrs. Ettinger’s love of life was walking 5-7 miles per day. She was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue, a member of Hadassah, and active in JWI. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of the Hebrew Home for their wonderful care, especially her private aides. Funeral services will be TODAY, Friday, February 10, 2006 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with Rabbi David Small officiating. Interment will follow in the Piaterer Verein Cemetery, Wethersfield. The family will receive relatives and friends at her home, 67 Parsons Drive, West Hartford, on Friday following the funeral through Sunday evening.
