BERSON, Miriam (Krechevsky) Berson, 92, of Bloomfield, died peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Anna (Levin) Krechevsky. Miriam was a graduate of Weaver High School and Boston University, and worked for many years at Connecticut General in Bloomfield. Miriam was an avid reader and bridge player, and was a longtime member of the Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford. Miriam was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Saul Berson, daughter, Sandra (Berson) Zelman, and son Neal Berson, and by two brothers, Herbert Krechevsky and the Honorable Robert Krechevsky. Loved by her family, Miriam is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Amy (Zelman) Resnic and her husband David of Sudbury, MA, Michael Zelman of Bloomfield, Lisa (Berson) Boon and her husband David of Chicago, IL, Jennifer (Berson) Lassman and her husband Jon of Lees Summit, MO; and four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin Resnic, Norah Lassman, and Nathan Boon. In addition, she leaves her brother Seymour Krechevsky and his wife Annette of West Hartford, sister-in-law Phyllis Krechevsky of West Hartford, son-in-law Arthur Zelman of Bloomfield, and daughter-in-law Michele Berson of Overland Park, KS. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Monday, August 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Seymour and Annette Krechevsky, 67 Fuller Dr., West Hartford on Monday following the funeral.
