Mildred (Ellovich) Noll, 101, of Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford, wife of the late Jacob Noll, died Friday, October 27, 2006. Born in Hartford, she lived in this area all her life. She graduated from the Hartford Public High School, Culver Smith Kindergarten Training School, and the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She attended classes at St. Joseph College and Columbia University. She retired in 1971 after teaching in the Hartford Public School System for 28 years and for four years in Manchester. She was very active in Early Childhood Education, and was a Girl Scout leader. Mildred was a contributor to many philanthropic organizations and a member of the Hartford and Connecticut Education Association and the Connecticut Retired Teachers. A member of the Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford, she taught Sunday school there for 15 years. She also taught Sunday School at Charter Oak Temple, Hartford and Temple Beth Israel, West Hartford. She leaves a son: Arthur Noll and his wife Marylin of West Hartford; a daughter: Deborah Silver and her late husband Kenneth Silver of Newton, MA; six grandchildren: Leigh Noll Farber and her husband Gregory Farber, Cindy Noll Katzeff and her husband Daniel, Jeffrey Noll and his wife Julie, Kevin Silver and his wife Sharon, Betsy Silver Biviano and her husband Bernard Biviano, and Robin Silver Grace and her husband Bill; and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 29th, at 10:30 AM in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield, with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. A memorial period will be observed following the funeral through Sunday evening at the home of her son, Arthur, 91 Tumblebrook Lane, West Hartford.
