Mildred (Pearl Shaker) Blumenthal

Mildred Pearl Blumenthal, age 98, passed away on August 21, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was born on Sepotember 10, 1914 in Springfield, MA to the late Barney and Rose (Fleischman) Shaker and resided in New Britain and West Hartford, as well as Delray Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Irving, as well as siblings Kenneth Shaker, Ted Shaker, and Shirley Labonte. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all that knew her. She is survived by her devoted children: Barry Winters (Lynne) of Boca Raton, FL, Donald Blumenthal (Elaine) of Boca Raton, FL, and Lynne Marder (David) of Tolland; adoring grandchildren Jeff Winters (Vicki), Steven Blumenthal (Michelle), Michael Blumenthal, Eric Blumenthal (Irene), Carrie Canavan (Craig), Lauren Marder (Kim Austin), Jason Marder (Jennifer Broder), Lisa Magit (Bruce) and loving great-grandchildren: Sara, Benjamin, Joshua, Ilana, Amanda, Eli, Sadie, Alex, Pierson, Ellie, Jack, Charlie, Kayla, and Jack. She will also be missed by dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Beth Alom Cemetery, 48 Allen St., New Britain.
