Melvyn Silverstein

Melvyn Silverstein, 76 years of age, of Hartford died Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Samuel and Clara (Hoffman) Silverstein. Melvyn was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He leaves his daughter, Shala Silverstein of Norwich; his step-daughter, Trisha; his sister Elaine Kaufmann and her husband Wilbert of West Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Jonathan Welfare Society Cemetery, Tower Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Marshal Press officiating. A memorial period will be observed Thursday following the interment until 7:00 PM and Friday 1:00-4:00 PM at 47 Brainard Rd., West Hartford.
