May (Lehman) Lessin

LESSIN, May (Lehman) Lessin, 104 years of age, of Stamford died Friday, February 13, 2009 at home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Attorney Michael Lessin. Born December 19, 1904, in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Max and Fannie (Kaplan) Lehman. May, the youngest, was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. May was an accomplished pianist. She was the beloved mother of Elaine Grunberger of Stamford, Alan Lessin of Silver Springs, MD, and Benita Carlton and her husband Robert of West Hartford; beloved mother-in-law of Helen Lessin Shaw of Bethesda, MD; cherished grandmother of Attorney Marti Nerenstone, James Grunberger, Stacy Nerenstone, M.D. and her husband Morton L. Weinstein, Lizabeth Fludzinski, Peter Nerenstone, Michael Lessin, and Victoria Lessin; and she was the loving great-grandmother of seven. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Aimee Grunberger and her son-in-law, David Grunberger. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 12:00 noon in Temple Beth El Cemetery, Roxbury Rd., Stamford. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
