Marilyn (Kramer) Savitt

Marilyn (Kramer) Savitt, 76, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of West Hartford, died Thursday, April 6, 2006. Born in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Meyer and Tillie (Shaev) Kramer. Marilyn was a member of Temple Sinai of Newington, B’nai Brith, Hadassah, the Musical Club of Hartford, the Arthritis Society, and the Auxiliary of the Hebrew Home & Hospital. She leaves her husband, Joseph Savitt; a daughter, Susan Savitt of Clinton; two sons, Mark Savitt and his wife Lisa of Bristol, and Dr. Charles Savitt of Chicago, IL; a brother, William Kramer of Waterbury; 3 sisters, Sallye Katrosar of Waterbury, Rose Madnick of Westbrook, and Harriet Meisel of Cheshire; and 3 grandchildren, Matthew Delehanty, Erik Delehanty, and Rachel Savitt. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Libby Pearl and her husband Bennett of West Hartford, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Kramer. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Temple Sinai, 41 West Hartford Rd., Newington with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Sinai Memorial Park. A memorial period will be observed Sunday following the funeral through Monday evening at the home of her daughter, 5 Elmwood Way, Clinton 06413. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Hospice & Palliative Care Unit, 2815 South Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435 or to Temple Sinai, 41 West Hartford Rd., Newington 06111.
