Magda (Gross) Weiss, 94, was born in Hungary on 5/9/1924 and passed away on 9/5/2018. She was a Holocaust survivor and the true meaning of a strong, devoted and loving matriarch. She always put others needs first, spoke her mind and was always willing to play a game of Rummikub. She was predeceased by her husband, Nandor, and leaves behind her sons, Eugene (Eva) Ways and Tibor (Vera) Weiss and her daughter Marianna (David) Eckstein, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Thursday, 9/6/18, at 11:00am.
The family will be receiving well-wishers at the home of Marianna & David Eckstein, 112 Robin Road, West Hartford on Thursday afternoon through the evening prayers, and on Friday 10:00am-3:00pm and on Sunday from 10:00am-1:00pm.
Minchah/Maariv Thursday at 7:10pm and Selichot and Shacharit at 6:10am on Friday.
