Mae (Cook) Selwitz

Mae (Cook) Selwitz, 90, of West St., Rocky Hill, formerly of Manchester, widow of Lipman Selwitz, died Monday, August 7, 2006. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rebecca (Smith) Cook. She leaves her children: Earle Selwitz of Tamarac, FL, and Bruce Selwitz of Wethersfield; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a sister Judith Goldin of West Hartford. She was predeceased by her daughter Ferne Selwitz Bloom, and brother Louis Cook. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.
