Lynn C. Scull

October 27, 1935 — May 8, 2026

Lynn C. Scull died peacefully in the company of his loving indispensable wife Sharon on May 8, 2026 while a resident at Seabury lifecare community in Bloomfield, CT. Born in Madison, NJ in 1935 he was the son of Luther and Margery (Ruzicka) Scull. He graduated from Madison High in 1953 and from Lehigh University with B.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1957. He later obtained a MS in Operations from NYU.

After graduation, he served as an Air Force Officer in Japan. Just prior to military service and for 13 years after his service, he worked first at Otis Elevator in Yonkers, NY and then at Met Life in New York City. In 1974 he moved to Essex CT and worked as a yacht captain and deliverer. In 1978 he joined a small Commercial Art Studio.

Lynn was predeceased by both his parents, previous wife Marie-Louise (Walter) Scull and by his sister Cathy Coultas and her husband Bob. He is survived by his warm upbeat wife Sharon (Ozaroff) Scull, his niece and nephew Linda Coultas and her two children Maya and Clay of Medford, MA and David and Helen Coultas of England.

Lynn played golf, bowled, loved classical music, traveled and volunteered at The Bushnell Center for Performing Arts in Hartford. He loved Sudoku Puzzles and landscaping. Lynn and his wife were avid UCONN Women’s Basketball fans having gone to Italy twice with the many-time National Championship team. They attended most post-season tournament games and had tickets for all home games. Lynn was an avid sailor and member of Mystic Museum for over 55 years. He was also a model railroader. His favorite pastime was being out with his wife shopping and dining out. He was a very caring kind person and was respected and loved by everyone.
